Samples of “Inspired Blessings” Inspirations

The following are some samples of the inspirations that are included in the “Inspired Blessings” book. Throughout this book, you will see how God has blessed me to be an inspirational writer, read stories of how God saved me both physically and spiritually, and learn the stories behind the forty plus inspirations that are included with over fourteen true stories. I take these four categories: the beginning process of these inspirations; stories behind the inspirations; my life story; true stories from others, and intertwine them throughout the book. You will read about individuals who have witnessed God’s miracles in their lives. The book is meant to flow from front to back, from one inspiration to the next. This is a book of substance, written to help readers face the trials and temptations that awaits us all!

When the Columbine High School killings happened, my heart was aching for the children and their families. Why did this happen? Who is missing in our schools and homes? God!

Let Us Seek The Truth

School is where you learn about the history of the past

And prepare yourself for the future.

Our teachers are supposed to be our role models

Who help us to learn the things we do not know.

It is also a time when we will seek friendships

That will last for a lifetime.

Most of all, it is a place where

We should not fear for the safety of our children.

But things have changed.

Children are killing other children—

Too many for me to count.

We never would have thought

That this could have been possible,

But the more we hear about it

The more we become tolerant of it.

This should never be. . .

What can you say to someone who is thinking of taking his or her own life? You might be able to tell them how much you love them and how it would hurt the people they leave behind. But it seems like most family and friends are never given that chance. Their loved ones choose to keep their thoughts silent until it is too late!

Ending Your Life Isn’t The Answer

You may be thinking that there is no other way out

From the circumstances you are in,

And the pain or judgment you might have to face.

So you are contemplating ending your life,

Thinking that your pain will disappear forever.

But the pain that will be gone with you

Will exist forever in the hearts of your loved ones.

Is that fair to them if you don’t give them a chance

To help you in the worst trial of your life?

If you do not reveal to them your worst thoughts,

When you have a barrier between you and them,

How are they supposed to know how to help you?. . .

How many people do you know who are addicted to things that are destroying them? I have a couple of family members who have chosen to go down that path. Their eyes are so clouded with the temptations of the world! They have allowed Satan to take control of their will, instead of letting God fight their battles. They deny that God is real so they have no rules to follow; if they acknowledge Him, they would have to change their ways. Satan tries to hide the truth about God from them so he can destroy their future. I wrote this, inspired by God, to help those following the wrong path!

God, Give Me Your Strength

My world is so out of focus

That I have become somebody I wish not to be.

I have no strength to control my days.

I have become addicted to the wrong things of the world,

Which are destroying my mind and soul,

Making me hurt the people I love.

How could I have let this be?

I have tried so many different ways,

Now realizing that nothing has worked for me.

Am I searching in the wrong direction?

I need to know for my own sanity. . .

I wanted people to know that God is our hope, to help us when we feel discouraged. He allows hope to enter into your heart. I see for some people that faith and hope are hard to possess. They need to see God in front of them for them to have faith. But remember what Jesus said over 2,000 years ago when He rose from the dead.

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me,
thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.

John 20:29

Let Hope Enter Into Your Heart

Hope is not something you can hold in your hand,

But it can enter into your heart and soul as if it was real.

Only you, if you’re willing, can let it change

Your outlook on life to be more fruitful for you.

There are many situations in our lives that seem hopeless,

But we are not hopeless to God: He is our hope.

He will keep us standing when we want to fall

And when we feel there is no way out, He opens the doors. . .

In some cases, it is too late to mend a relationship, as with some of my family members, who died before they were able to forgive. That was very sad to see. This doesn’t just damage the spirit, but it affects all the other people around you. We all missed out on what could have been! This prompted me to write “Let Us Mend Our Broken Hearts”—my first inspiration on forgiveness.

Let Us Mend Our Broken Hearts

I have shared my past with you

Knowing the joy and pain

We once shared. Now it is a distant memory,

Almost as if our relationship

Never existed.

I feel a loss inside of me.

Oh, how I wish you were here!

We are given one life on Earth,

Which time is slowly taking away. . .

The Armed Forces are the heroes we haven’t met. Yet we have seen their families with tears of sadness at the loss of their loved ones, then with tears of joy when they are reunited once again. How can they love us so much that they fight for our freedom? This inspiration is also a tribute to my father Joseph, and his brother Bobby, who did not make it home. They both fought in the Korean War to protect us. Then my father decided to do even more, and adopted me from Korea, to show me what true freedom really is! Thank you, Dad, for loving me as your own.

The Brave Heroes Of The Armed Forces

We have seen brave men in uniforms;

Some wear green while others wear navy blue,

Yet they all look handsome, even with white on too.

And when they are all lined up and ready for battle

It is with one purpose in mind:

To fight for our freedom no matter who we are.

You are the brave heroes of The Armed Forces

Because of your courage to stand up for democracy.

Without you we would live in fear,

But because of you we have peace in our land. . .

I had a friend who asked me to write something for her husband’s mother. Her husband had not felt loved as a child. He was in his sixties and his mother was in her eighties—that is a long time not to feel you are loved! I am sure many people may have felt similarly in their lives, and can relate to this inspiration.

Desired To Be Loved

I have tried to do all the right things for you

Even when my feelings have been hurt,

Hoping that one day you will realize that

I did it all out of loving you from my heart.

But as we are getting older our bodies are getting weaker

And I don’t know if you know how I truly feel.

I need to say that I have not felt love from you

In the years that we have shared; this hurts me,

Feeling like you have rejected me for so long. . .
